Welcome to Carpinteria Door Co.

We're Lena Daniels and Ramon Serratos, a husband-and-wife team with more than 16 years of experience in carpentry and woodworking. Originally from Los Angeles, California, we made our home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where we have spent more than a decade designing and selling handcrafted wood doors throughout Mexico.

Today, we're excited to bring our craftsmanship and distinctive Mexican-inspired designs to customers throughout the United States.

Inspired by San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel de Allende is known for its beautiful colonial architecture, historic homes, hand-carved details, and traditional craftsmanship. Living and working here has given us endless inspiration.

Many of our door designs are influenced by the character and architectural details found throughout the historic neighborhoods of San Miguel. We love incorporating those traditional elements into pieces that feel timeless while still working beautifully in modern homes.

Our Workshop

Our doors are handcrafted in our workshop in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where traditional woodworking techniques and years of experience come together to create each piece.

From selecting and preparing the wood to carving, sanding, finishing, and carefully inspecting each door, our work is done by hand by skilled artisans. Every piece passes through our workshop with attention to the details that make a handcrafted door unique.

We believe that the character of a handmade door comes from the craftsmanship behind it. That's why we take pride in the people, tools, and traditional techniques that go into every piece we create.

Ordering & Shipping

Most orders ship within 1–2 weeks of being placed. For larger or more complex projects, we'll discuss the production and delivery timeline with you before your order is confirmed.
